Pastor’s Points

Wow, 2012 is flying! We are headed into the fifth month already. I hope you are doing well and that you are getting prepared for the east Texas summer that is sure to come upon us. We have been blessed the last week or so with some wonderful weather though.

Well, as we look to May there are some things we are excited about. We have graduation coming up, the last month of the school year for everyone else, National Day of Prayer May 3rd, Mother’s Day and all of our other regular events.

I want to congratulate our seniors this year. Josh Horn, Ben Shaw, Nick Stott, Salena Shellhammer, Bradley Miller, and Jesse Due will be graduating this year. I know it is hard to believe. We will look forward to all that God has in store for you as you follow Him. Senior Recognition Day will be Sunday morning May 20th. We wish all Mothers Happy Mother’s Day, don’t forget to tell your Mom that you Love her.

There will be a community wide prayer gathering on May 3rd at noon at the Courthouse gazebo. I would encourage all who can to come and it will not last very long so people can return to work. Remember II Chronicles 7:14 calls us to humble ourselves, seek His face, and turn from wickedness. I hope you will be in repentance and prayer on behalf of our great nation wherever you are that day and then continue to pray for our country. We need repentance and prayer!

Watch your calendar and the website for all of our regular events. We hope to see to soon in worship as God is doing great things at Tanglewood!
